What a weekend!

What a weekend it was! Okay, I know it's like alil late to be talking about last weekend when it's already Tuesday afternoon. But it's definitely worth mentioning.
First, it was Del's farewell dinner of sorts. As usual, I'm late. Got caught up at the library while collecting my reserved book. Stupid guy had his ATM card stuck in the machine. Thankfully, i could make payment with my ez-link card.
Anyway, we had dinner at a vegetarian restaurant at Chinatown Point. Oh, I ran into oswald at Chinatown mrt. Surprisingly, he was the one tht said hi first. Okay, to be precise, he said " eh, joelyn.." and i just said hi and walked away. Not tht i wanna be rude but i was on the phone with Vic and was trying to find my way around.
Actually tht wasnt the exciting part of the night. Dont get me wrong. Seeing the girls were great but the soccer match between Manchester United and Aston Villa was wayyyyy better. Period.
Honestly, i wasnt stoked at the beginning of the game cos i thought "oh, it's just another game and utd had better win". But boy, the game was good. In fact, it was exhilarating. Kinda like a roller coaster ride but not so excruciating. Roller coaster rides arent exactly my kinda thing.
United was leading at 14min and i was glad, until Villa equalised. Now that got me worried but i tried to remain optimistic. And then Villa had to make things worse by scoring again. BUT! Thank goodness we had Cristiano Ronaldo (with a bad haircut.. sorry lynn!) equalising for United. With only about 10min left, i figured that a point to level up with Liverpool (suckers!) was good enough though i was hoping and wishing United will score again.
WHAHAHAHA! What do you know... Here comes FEDERICO MACHEDA (WOO~!) with an absolutely stunning finish in stoppage time to win the game and bring United back on top of the league table! I was just as happy as any one of the fans at OT. It was abt 2am when Macheda scored and believe me, i was screaming and jumping in my living room. I was just too overjoyed. I almost cried. Seriously.
Having seen Danny Welbeck play for United, i thought he was amazing scoring on his debut. But now, forget Danny Welbeck, Federico Macheda is da bomb! I do believe that one day, Macheda is gonna be as famous as the man beside him in that picture above. Oh, hopefully without the bad haircut. LOL.
That guy has reminded me why I am a United fan. Especially with recent defeats against Liverpool and Fulham. Well, i obviously hope Macheda stays at United for as long as possible. Life has just began for 17 year old Federico Macheda...
